When you're expecting an addition to your household, it's a fun time. Getting the Nursery Ready

It's good to make sure that your baby's room is lighted well, but darkness is also important to developing eyes. For this reason, you may want to steer clear of decorations, such as stars, during the first few months of her life.

Gifts for the baby are normally clothes and toys, but there are many other things you'll need to look after your new child properly, including things for your home. As well as a suitable cot, the baby's bedroom should contain a dresser for storing clothing, a toy chest or similar container for toys and a cozy chair for you to sit in as you hold or talk to your child. It's good to have a raised surface to change the baby if you're having trouble bending down (a common problem after giving birth) as well as somewhere to keep the changing and cleaning materials.
Getting ready for the new arrival while you're pregnant will ease a lot of stress when the baby does arrive. It's also a great way to get even more energized about the coming arrival!
